Parking on Pavements – A word from the Police

Parking has once again become a hot topic for the community.  Car owners believe they are doing the right thing by parking half on the pavement, this can cause an obstruction for those using the pavement.  If an obstruction of the pavement does occur then the owner of the vehicle can receive a fixed penalty ticket of £30 and in some circumstances the vehicle can be removed the cost of which is down to the owner.  Please use common sense when parking, don’t block the carriageway and don’t obstruct pavements and footpaths. Please be considerate to others.
